Airport Locations

At  Mountain West Aviation we are pleased to provide you with the best value and service in the greater Lake Tahoe region. We offer two locations to meet your needs:

Lake Tahoe Airport (KTVL) - South Lake Tahoe, California
Other airports have the word "Tahoe" in their name, but there's only one airport at the Lake. Lake Tahoe Airport is only minutes from the beautiful shores of what many refer to as the “Jewel of the Sierra.” We like to refer to it as our “year-round playground.” 

The airfield sits at an elevation of 6,264' msl. Runway 18/36 is 8,544 feet x 150feet. Unicom is on 122.95 and AWOS is on 124.725. Reno FSS is on 122.25 and approach/departure frequency is through Oakland Center on 127.95.

We offer full-service fueling, line services, hangar space, tie-downs, pilot supplies, car rentals, discounted hotel rates, complimentary food and beverages, flight planning, catering, concierge services and more. Additional amenities on the field include aerial photography, scenic flights and flight training through Helitahoe. And Chase's Bar & Grill overlooking the runway has perhaps the best views of any airport restaurant…and the food is great, too.

Carson City Airport (KCXP) - Carson City, Nevada
As the state capitol of Nevada, Carson City is rich in history and scenery. And it’s only a short drive to both Reno and Tahoe. The Carson City Airport is conveniently located on the north side of town, right off of U.S. Highway 395.

The airfield sits at an elevation of 4,697' msl. Runway 9/27 is 5,906 feet x 75 feet. CTAF is on 123.0 and AWOS is on 119.925. Reno Approach can be contacted on 119.2 if you're departing to the north.

We offer self-service fueling at our facility, located mid-field at Taxiway Bravo. Look for the AirBP sign on the north side of the runway. Assisted service is available for JetA. We also have hangar sales and leasing on the field. Our Carson City FBO is known to have the most competitive pricing in the region.
